The CDC’s National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention (NCHHSTP)Division of HIV Prevention (DHP), HIV Research Branch (HRB), Project Management Team (PMT) is seeking an exceptional candidate for a full-time position as a Lead Public Health Advisor.

The mission of DHP is to prevent HIV infection and reduce the incidence of HIV-related illness and death in the United States.

The position serves as a Lead Public Health Advisor responsible for planning, formulating, analyzing, evaluating, and/or implementing program policies for national public health and research programs related to HIV. Provides critical advice and assistance in overcoming barriers to program delivery and application. The work requires an extensive breadth of program knowledge, and often managing multiple projects and programs operating concurrently.

Duties: As a Public Health Advisor (Team Lead) you will:

  • Develop and manage budgets and approve funding expenditures.
  • Prepare, review, negotiate, and/or monitor collaborative agreements, contracts, and/or memorandums of agreement.
  • Coordinate overall administrative and program activities to ensure successful program execution.
  • Oversee a small contingent of positions and plans work for subordinates based on priorities.

 

Qualifications:

To qualify at the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower grade level.
